Kamasan B775 CARP SPECIALIST - 20 November 2006 - Back

Kamasan B775 CARP SPECIALIST

Everyone has a hook they rave on about. This is mine, so far they have never let me down. The B775 Carp Specialist (previous known as B775 River Carp)

The blurb on the pack describes the hooks well. Designed to cope with the most demanding conditions the B775 specialist carp hook is produced from extra strong super high carbon wire. The point and bend are forged for strength while the swept shank and beaked point ensure ultimate holding power.

For years I used the 6's for all my braid hook length fishing. The combination of these hooks and 18lb Sink link is indestructible. The 6's will cope with heavy weed and tight work in snaggy corners. I was always keen to stay with the 6's having landed a good few chunks on them. Not trusting the 8?s, as they look so small.

So I took the 8's to my local club lake and extracted two thirties on them. Both from a tight island margin, where I previously would have only used a 6. Confident they were strong I felt happy to use these on the CP. My braid rig refined, with now with a smaller lighter hook. They stood up to an angry Heather, which I knew they would.

I can only comment on the 6's and 8's as that?s all I have used. Keep to the 6's for any real tight clutch work and the 8's for all open water.

They retail at ?2.95 from my local tackle shop. A superb hook that will land monster carp. Would give them 10/10 if packaged in foam. 9/10.
