Farnham Angling Societies prolific Badshot Lea Fishery was closed late July following a fish kill, with KHV, Koi Herpes Virus confirmed.
Whilst both large and small ponds are closed at this point with the site a KHV Designation Area by CEFAS. A number of local waters have suffered the same fate in recent years.
The society claim a loss of 200 of Badshot Leas stock of around 1000 fish.
As ever with fish disease it is imperative that any further spread is prevented and as anglers the biggest precaution is through drying and disinfection of nets.
